Building comes before caring here, and that ordering is the whole idea. The first stretch of the game is construction — the treehouse takes shape room by room — and only then does it settle into looking after the animal who lives in it.
Because you built the space, the care stage reads differently from a set where the house arrives ready-made. The rooms are yours, so putting the panda in them feels like a result rather than a starting condition.
The pace is gentle throughout, and nothing can go wrong badly enough to undo work.
