Elephants Puzzle

Six pictures with four settings each, which gives twenty-four boards from a small set of images — a reasonable trade when the pictures are good enough to revisit.

The jump that matters is sixty-four to one hundred. Below it the border-outward method still works; above it the board wants you to have sorted by colour first, and starting without doing so turns a pleasant twenty minutes into a long one.

Nothing is timed. The set describes itself as something to keep the mind sharp, and it plays at exactly that pace.

1. Choose one of the six pictures.
2. Pick a piece count from 16 to 100.
3. Assemble the border, then work inward.
4. Replay the same image at a higher count.

At one hundred pieces, sort by background tone before touching the border. The sky and ground piles are usually large and getting them out of the way makes the animal itself straightforward.
