Lambs Jigsaw

Lambs Jigsaw is a collection of twelve puzzles devoted to young sheep. Lambs are a familiar sight in fields each spring, and their woolly coats and curious faces make them a soft, cheerful subject for a jigsaw.

Getting started takes two decisions. You choose one of the twelve images and then decide how hard the puzzle should be, with easy, medium and hard options available. The task after that is classic jigsaw work: put the pieces in the right position until the picture is complete.

Wool is the main challenge in these images. A lamb’s fleece is made of countless small curls in similar off-white shades, so at higher difficulty settings many pieces look almost alike. That is where patience pays off, along with paying attention to the edges where the lamb meets grass or sky. With twelve pictures and three difficulty settings, there is enough here for repeated, relaxed sessions without seeing the same board twice in a row.

1. Choose one of the twelve lamb pictures.
2. Select easy, medium or hard.
3. Move each piece into its right position.
4. Complete the picture and pick a new lamb.

Build the outline of the lamb against the background first. The edges give you shape where the wool alone gives very little.
