Cute Snails Jigsaw

Six pictures and four modes each, with the set asking you to finish in the shortest time you can manage.

Snails are an unexpectedly good jigsaw subject. The shells carry strong spiral patterning that gives every piece a clear orientation, which makes these boards noticeably faster than the fur-and-foliage sets elsewhere on the site.

Twenty-four boards, no locks, and the timer is optional in the sense that nothing depends on it.

1. Pick a picture and a piece count.
2. Find the shell pieces — they orient themselves.
3. Build the shell, then the body and background.
4. Complete the board and note the time.

Shell pieces are the fastest in the set because the spiral tells you which way up they go. Assemble the shell first and the rest of the board has far fewer plausible positions left.
