The animal simulator genre in its fuller form: a large open world, a chosen animal to inhabit it, and a pack that grows around you rather than a level list to grind.
Tasks are scattered across the map instead of queued, so the session shape is yours to set — hunt, explore, or work on the characteristics of individual pack members. Improving those characteristics is the closest thing the game has to progression.
Movement is the main pleasure here. The world is big enough that getting somewhere is an activity in itself.
