Screwloose Cats: Tail Rescue
A bolt-and-colour puzzle: strip the boards off each carrier and let the cats out.

The screw-sorting puzzle format, applied to a rescue. Carriers are covered in layers of boards, plates and bolts; removing a bolt puts it in a tray slot, and identical colours in adjacent slots clear each other.
The tray is the whole game. It holds a fixed number, so pulling bolts in the wrong order fills it and ends the level — which means every removal is a bet on what the next layer exposes. Extra slots can be unlocked when a board gets away from you.
Levels are compact and restart instantly, which is the right shape for a puzzle where losing teaches you the order.
Controls
Click or tap bolts to remove them; matching colours clear the tray.
How to Play
- Look at which bolts are actually reachable.
- Remove one and watch where it lands in the tray.
- Clear pairs by putting matching colours side by side.
- Strip every layer to open the carrier.
Tips & Tricks
Before pulling a bolt, check what it is holding — the layer underneath decides whether your next three moves exist.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if the tray fills up?
The level is lost. Extra slots can be unlocked when a board becomes difficult, but the tray limit is the core constraint.
