Pet Trainer Duel starts with a job offer. Customers have been searching for a master pet trainer, they have found you, and their cats have let themselves go. Your mission is simple: make the obese cats fit again.

The work happens on trainer platforms. You take each cat along the course and do your best to help it lose weight before the end, where a weighing decides the result. It is a runner at heart, so the whole level builds towards that one moment on the scales, and the lighter the cat, the better you have done.

The duel in the title comes from the modes. You can move through the levels in single-player, or bring a friend into two-player mode and see who makes the better trainer. That co-op and competitive option is the main reason to pick this over a solo runner, since a weigh-in is far more fun when someone else’s cat is standing on the other scale.
